Marjorie Taylor Greene

Marjorie Taylor Greene
Marjorie Taylor Greene is a Republican congresswoman representing Georgia’s 14th district since 2021.

Born in 1974 in Milledgeville, Georgia, she rose to national prominence through her unwavering support for President Donald Trump and her embrace of far-right rhetoric, conspiracy theories, and Christian nationalist rhetoric.

Greene gained early notoriety for promoting the QAnon conspiracy theory and other debunked claims, including the suggestion that “Jewish space lasers” caused wildfires, that school shootings were staged, and that the 9/11 attacks were false flag operations. She has since become a central figure in the MAGA movement, known for her combative style, inflammatory language, and relentless provocation. She has publicly called for a “national divorce” between red and blue states and has positioned herself as a vocal opponent of LGBTQ+ rights, abortion access, and immigration. Greene proudly identifies as a “Christian nationalist,” aligning herself with some of the most extreme factions of the religious right.

In the most recent session of Congress, Greene introduced a series of provocative and largely symbolic bills, including proposals to make English the official language of the United States, rename the Gulf of Mexico as the “Gulf of America,” designate Antifa as a terrorist organization, and expunge both of Donald Trump’s impeachments from the congressional record.

Despite—or perhaps because of—her polarizing positions, Greene has cultivated a devoted national following and remains a prominent figure in the Republican Party. She has expressed interest in seeking higher office and is widely viewed as a potential candidate for the U.S. Senate in 2026, particularly if Georgia Governor Brian Kemp does not enter the race.
