New Tang Dynasty Television (NTD Television)

NTD Television claims that its name originates from the legacy of the Tang Dynasty considered by its Falun Gong founders to be “the golden age of Chinese spirituality…high moral standards and unparalleled cultural achievements.” Originally founded as a Mandarin language broadcaster in 2001, today NTD Television transmits in many languages around the world including Cantonese, French, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, Hebrew, Russian and round-the-clock 24/7 English language channels in the US and UK. NTD Television broadcasts extensively both on television networks and on YouTube. In Canada, the outlet has received millions in public funding from the Canada Media Fund to produce its materials. Its Canadian branch produced the docudrama film Claws of the Red Dragon with executive producer Steve Bannon.
