Its mission statement says it was established in 2013 “with the aim of encouraging the transmission of ideas and people within the countries of Central Europe and between Central Europe, other parts of Europe, and the English-speaking world.”

The organization has signed a cooperation agreement with the Heritage Institute in the United States and has offered well-paid positions to conservative activists from the English-speaking world, with the think-tank's current director being former Margaret Thatcher advisor John O'Sullivan. Also on the organization’s payroll is conservative American author Rod Dreher.

The organization is being positioned to promote Orbanism by hiring prominent conservatives from abroad, with significant financial resources by the Hungarian state.
